Community Programs & Services

VPI’s Community Programs and Services are designed to meet the individual needs of the people we serve.

Early Intervention Program / Birth to 3

The Early Intervention Program of Winnebago and Outagamie counties, administered by VPI, is a program that provides comprehensive support to children under the age of three who have developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. Support is provided in the child’s home, childcare center or out in the community, wherever they normally spend their time. The focus is on supporting parents and caregivers and giving them the tools they need to help their children develop and learn. Services are provided using a team approach and include speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, special instruction, and service coordination.

Education Services

Our Education Services are designed to meet various school-to-work transition needs to help students successfully transition to inclusive community employment settings after high school. A wide variety of programs, settings, and opportunities are available and VPI is constantly developing new programming to meet the changing needs of our community.

Employment Services

VPI’s Employment Services offer individualized vocational supports, meeting each individual where they are at, to help them reach their optimum level of independence in the community. Services include paid work and volunteer opportunities, job preparation activities, job search assistance, and customized on-site or off-site workplace supports.

Mental Health Services

VPI’s Mental Health Services offer opportunities for skill building and wellness management with side-by-side coaching available to develop independence. Services include one-on-one supports, supportive and skill building groups, connection to mental health care and other community resources, and participation in community activities.
