Production Control Analyst

The Production Control Analyst assists the Production Planner in the day-to-day operation by ensuring production schedules are attained through the coordination within the Company of the workflow and materials within; inventorying, tracking, and communicating with the Purchasing Manager the ordering needed/necessary supplies; directly supporting daily/monthly financial expectations met. Performs other duties as required.


1. Takes direction from Production Planner on the department’s plans and prepares production schedule.

2. Works directly with Inventory Control and Distribution to ensure accurate inventories of production materials (WIP) are maintained.

3. Responsible for the weekly inventorying and tracking of all VPI supplies for the department that are needed to support the entire Production Schedule – both current and upcoming; communicates and follows up with Purchasing Manager on ordering and subsequent receipt of these supplies.

a. May prepare list of required materials, tools, and equipment.

b. May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.

4. Assists in the planning of assembly and other production operations for guidance of production workers.

5. Reviews the daily production effectiveness and labor reports and acts as needed.

6. Ensures all parties are fully aware of production status, and that work planning and execution objectives are integrated and proactively communicated.

7. Assists in training production employees on proper and safe work techniques.

8. Ensures continuous process improvement through set-up/function to drive costs out and efficiencies up.

9. Attends staff production and safety meetings as assigned.

10. Works cooperatively with Case Managers and other rehabilitation staff to assist in ensuring that prescribed goals and objectives of program participants are met.


Functions are considered light to moderate according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Work performed includes the ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling), and lift to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.


Normally works in a climate-controlled office environment. Frequent sitting with movement throughout office spaces. Use of computers throughout work. Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist, and fingers. May be exposed to heat and/or humidity on the production floor.


1. Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience in a production environment.

2. Ability to demonstrate flexibility when faced with frequent operations changes.

3. High level of computer expertise – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and ERP preferred.

4. Prior experience of working within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred [NAV, WM, SAP, etc.]

5. Course work or experience working with handicapped individuals preferred.

6. Demonstrate common sense, sound judgment, strong/mature communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
