donate
Every donation has the power to empower.
At VPI, we have made it our mission to restore hope, remove barriers, and meet individuals where they are at. We understand that some fall before they fly, and here, we will stand together toward each goal, and share in the triumphs, amongst the tribulations. Our clients need our understanding, support, compassion, and investment, and we need yours.
Please give to VPI today to empower more individuals in our community with disabilities or disadvantages to reach their goals.

Memorial and Special Occasion Gifts
If you have a loved one who is passionate about our work, has passed away, has a birthday, or would like to commemorate an occasion, a memorial or special occasion gift is a meaningful way to honor them, while also helping your community. Make a donation in a loved one’s name and choose who to notify about your tribute gift.
Please either make your donation online, and include the name of the person you are memorializing or celebrating, or send us a check with that person’s name in the memo line.
Corporate Matching
An easy way to double your impact. Please check with your employer to see if they have a corporate matching donation program.
Planned Giving:
Donate Property or Stock
Avoid capital gains tax by donating stock directly to VPI. You will still be eligible to deduct the full fair-market value of the assets you donated on your income taxes, up to the overall amount allowed by the IRS.
Donate a Retirement Account
Naming VPI as a beneficiary of your 401k, IRA, or other qualified savings plan is a simple way to support our work, and may eliminate both income and estate taxes. Because VPI is a 501(c)(3) we are exempt from both income and estate taxes, we can receive 100% of the account’s value. You can then leave other assets to your heirs, which don’t have the same income tax burden, enabling you to give them more.
Leave a Financial Gift in Your Will or Trust
Maintain control of your property while ensuring your legacy will continue to fund your charitable priorities by making a gift through your will or trust. You can change your mind or alter your gift at any time. The amount you give won’t reduce your income taxes, but it could reduce your taxable estate, potentially increasing the amount you’ll be able to leave to your heirs.
VPI encourages you to run any planned giving wishes by your bank manager, financial advisor, retirement plan administrator, insurance professional, or attorney for assistance in understanding your options and documenting your wishes.
If you decide to include a gift to VPI in your estate plans, our legal name is Valley Packaging Industries, Inc. and our tax ID number is 39-0921632.
Our Address is VPI, Inc. 110 N. Kensington Dr. Attention: Development Team, Appleton, WI 54915.
Active Campaigns
Community Programs Collective Capital Campaign
Grounded in our focus on the dignity and self worth of each individual we serve, VPI is creating a new Community Programs Collective, slated to open in the Spring of 2025. A fully-accessible and inclusive space, the Collective will allow us to cater to the diverse needs of our clients and expand our range of services, equipping them with experiences and independent living skills that will transform their daily lives.
The Collective will bring together VPI’s Early Intervention Birth to 3 Program, Adult Day Services, and Education and Employment Programs, expanding both the scope and quality of services available to individuals with disabilities and their families.
The Community Programs Collective creates the following opportunities for VPI:
- Staff efficiency through a higher degree of coordination of programs and services and ability to collaborate to meet individual client needs
- Capacity to serve more than 100 additional individuals in a more functional space each year, and immediately double one-to-one service capacity for VPI Day Services
- Reduced operational expenses due to efficiencies built into new space
Our commitment to the Collective reflects our ongoing dedication to removing barriers and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community, aligning with our core mission of fostering social, vocational, and economic independence.
Your investment in this project is a commitment to the independence and social and emotional health of countless individuals in our community that have a disability, a special need, or barriers to community inclusion.
If you have questions about the Community Programs Collective, or would like more information, please contact us at (920) 749-5859 or email give@vpind.com.
