Last week, our clients had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere of the Mile of Music Festival, right at our Community Outreach Center. This was an inclusive event that allowed our clients to attend Mile of Music event, when typically, they don’t have the ability to attend the traditional event. For our clients, this was a chance to break down barriers and engage with music in a truly hands-on way.
One of the highlights of the day was when our clients were able to create their own lyrics, guided by, Leila Ramagopal Pertl, Instructor of Music Education at Lawrence University. Another unforgettable experience was the interactive session where clients got to play a variety of instruments. This hands-on experience allowed them to discover new sounds and rhythms.
We also had the pleasure of enjoying a live performance by the talented Christopher Gold. His music resonated with our clients, providing a perfect ending to a day filled with creativity and connection.
